Keeping a correct record of all publications and conferences/talks is important in an academic career. To keep this clear we follow a clear division of labor.

  • All details concerning publications & conferences should be passed on to the CMM office (cmm.office@ugent.be). There are 2 main channels to keep track of our publications and conferences/talks: the CMM website and the UGent Biblio. The first one is important to present our work to the scientific world, the latter is very important since it is used as an evaluation in for i.e. BOF-applications.
  • For manuscripts, you add the correct info to the CMM website yourself, which means:

- when you submit an article, when it is published online and when it is published in final form. In this case it is easier for everyone to see who is working on a specific paper because this will be indicated on the CMM website. At every step you inform the CMM office (cmm.office@ugent.be) by sending an e-mail with the (new) status of your publication. When it is published in final form, it will also be added to the UGent Biblio.

 - it is important that you also link the correct project to the article. If your project is not in the list, you can inform the CMM office and we will add it to the website.

- it is your responsibility to put your articles on the CMM website and check once in a while if your UGent Biblio is correct.

  • When you present at a conference or give a talk or a presentation somewhere (also when it is i.e. during a lab visit), we follow the same procedure:

- add the info concerning your presentation on the CMM website and keep the CMM office informed that you added the information onto the website and it will be added to UGent Biblio since it is also important that talks and presentations are archived.

  • It is important that you use the correct classification (A1, A2, P1, C1, C3, etc.). Details can be found on the UGent website.
